NATURE-TOURISM RELATIONSHIPS
I explore the ways by which we come to
encounter, experience and make meaning of nature through various leisure and tourism practices and settings.
Papua New Guinea is becoming my main geographical focus of much of my work in this topic.
HUMAN-ANIMAL STUDIES
This is a growing interest of mine stemming from my research into nature-tourism relationships. My interests in human-animal studies
are still largely focused on tourism and leisure contexts.
LEISURE, TOURISM AND GAY MEN
I have focused mainly on understanding the ways by which leisure and tourism practices and settings enable or constrain the construction of gay male indentities and communities.
